Roma is a precious collection of writings by seven major Italian intellectuals of the twentieth century—leading scholars in Latin literature and Roman culture. A refined and passionate narrative that explores the identity of the Eternal City through diverse epochs, languages, and visions.

The volume opens with a preface by the distinguished Latinist Ettore Paratore, followed by six chapters authored by eminent figures: Roma Paleocristiana by Carlo Belli, Via Margutta by Salvato Cappelli, La Rocca Irripetibile by Emilio Cavaterra, Il Gran Lume della Poesia Romanesca by Giuseppe D’Arrigo, Volo su Roma by Fabrizio Sarazani, Roma nel XX secolo by Ugo Spirito.

Printed in just 1,999 numbered copies, the volume stands out for its literary value as well as its exceptional artistic and artisanal quality. Its 234 pages are enriched with 75 engravings and 15 original lithographs, offering a rich, multifaceted portrait of Rome.

The illustrations are by some of the greatest Italian artists of the twentieth century: Campigli, De Chirico, Donghi, Failla, Fantuzzi, Giuffrè, Mafai, Razzi, Ricci, Scalco, Scipione, and Severini.

Roma is an exclusive handcrafted luxury edition. Each copy is printed on 220 gsm handmade paper, hand-stitched on wooden frames using traditional medieval bookbinding techniques. The red leather covers, lined with moiré silk, are formed by two copper and 24-karat gold sculptures, transforming every volume into a true masterpiece.

A rare and refined book, unique in both form and content—where artisanal expertise meets the beauty of Italian art and Roman heritage.
