As the creator of a new hybrid work of art -a sculpture-book that provides support to a digital art work- he will talk about how the project came about, how he developed it, with which technologies and how it relates to ancient bookbinding.
The first artwork of D'ORO D'ART is 'Arabesque, Special Limited Edition, 2021' created by artist Dara Birnbaum, who, as a pioneer of video art, is also a symbol of the birth of this new art form that combines technology and craftsmanship and is as ephemeral as it is concrete. A powerful message that goes beyond boundaries. Physical and digital meet here for a message without borders and without barriers.
For Salvatore Giorgio Dino, the main challenge was to create a work that could communicate to everyone at the same time, without the need for words and therefore translations. This is a dream for anyone who makes books, to make a book that communicates to everyone, and to do this he chose to embrace the language of art.
Barbara London, founder of the Video Art department at New York's Moma, upon hearing of the existence of the project that Salvatore Giorgio Dino was prototyping in his Publishing House, wanted to take part as curator alongside Valentino Catricalà, curator of the Soda Gallery in Manchester.
