D’ORO COLLECTION PRESENTS ITS COLLECTIONS AT THE SHARJAH INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR.
From November 3rd to 13th one of the most important international fairs dedicated to the publishing world is back in Sharjah: the Sharjah International Book Fair.
D’ORO Collection will be one of the publishing houses representing Italy within a pavilion made possible thanks to a collaboration between ITA, the Italian Trade Agency, and AEI, the Italian Publishers Association.
“This is our first year at the Sharjah International Book Fair, the world-famous event that this year has reached its 40th year,” explains Salvatore Giorgio Dino, CEO of D’ORO Collection. “It will be a historic edition and we are very excited to be part of it.”
Among the books on display is one of the last few copies of DNA Lamborghini, the Official Automobili Lamborghini Book made in only 250 numbered copies, a first edition of which the last few copies are still available.
“DNA Lamborghini has been a great success, the last few copies will soon be sold. It’s a first-come first-served question,” says Salvatore proudly, sketching a smile. “For us, this book was a challenge, not only because we made the first book in the world in Forged Composites, but also because we did it using our medieval processing techniques” .
Not to be missed is a copy of The Golden Horses, a book made entirely of gold, a true cultural gem for the most prestigious private collections and libraries.
However, the focus of the exhibition of D’ORO Collection are Bespoke publications. Precisely now, when the term bespoke has “left” the tailor’s shops and has extended from fashion to design, D’ORO Collection rediscovers what has always been distinctive of its publications: customization. Whether it’s private or corporate clients, D’ORO Collection places no creative limits on turning stories, facts and documents into a literary work.
“Bespoke publications have always been the most important part of our work. Commissioning a book means sealing a message, remembering and passing on.” says Salvatore “whether it’s corporate or private, for us it is always an act of great responsibility and honor to take care of its contents and manage them with the authors to create something which truly reflects the client’s personality as well as a source of cultural inspiration for the reader. It’s a new challenge every time, always different.”
